For Teens
Getting pregnant doesn’t mean the end of all your hopes.
But it does require some choices. Other people may judge and pressure you.
That’s not us.
We are unbiased and will not pressure you into parenting, abortion or adoption.
We’re here to help you understand ALL of your options, and do what’s best for YOU.
So how do you choose?
First, you have to talk about it. Avoiding the issue isn’t an answer, and waiting just makes it harder.
Having another woman to talk to makes it easier to face the facts.
It helps if she’s been through the same problem herself.
That’s us.
Our professional guidance coaches have been where you are now:
- Unplanned pregnancy
- Abortion
- Birth
- Parenting
That’s why we’re objective and can help you and your family decide about unplanned pregnancy options.

How Do We Work?
Legacy 4 Kids is comprised of women who are called counselor, coach or advocate.
As counselor she will help you look out for your own well being. If you give birth, she wants what’s best for your baby, too. She’s here to help you get the best possible care and communicate with those who are important to you.
Chatting with your coach will provide a way for you to talk through unplanned pregnancy options. She can help you answer:
- Am I ready to be a parent?
- What changes would I have to make?
- How can I get my parents to back off?
- Where will I find the resources I need?
Just as important, she can advocate for you and serve as a mediator between you and your parents, or between you and your baby’s father.
If you want, she can help you obtain financial aid, medical care, prenatal and childbirth education – even housing, maternity clothes and transportation.

Help with Your Parents
We also want your parents to be honest with you in terms of what you can or cannot expect from them.
That’s why we recommend that your parents be included or get counseling as well. A counselor can help them resolve negative feelings like guilt, anger, denial and frustration. Most parents are too close to the problem to be objective.
Counseling can provide your parents with the tools to “back off” and allow you to make your own decision. A trained professional could help steer them toward letting go of some of the control. She could assist your parents toward being alert to your needs, yet also help establish the fact that they are not responsible for the choice you make concerning the baby.
It may be hard for your parents to cope with a daughter’s growing up so quickly. If your mom has protected and sheltered you all her life, it’s going to be pretty hard for her to suddenly take off on a shopping trip with you to buy maternity clothes. But counseling can help her and your father work through the upset feelings they may be experiencing.

I don’t feel alone anymore. Now I have someone I can talk to and make sense of everything without being afraid."
